It may seem high, but wait till you try to order from other places in China and have them ship to the US. ;)  Even the current UK distributor will cost more, even with them being a lot close, in miles.

Plus, you will get very, very good service here!  Even if it would be nice to match the prices of people who take your order and you never hear back from and ignore your emails, that extra level of service, and warranty, always comes at a cost.  It really comes down to paying less right now and possibly regretting it later, or payng a slightly higher price and saving yourself a lot of money/trouble in the long run.
